If you're looking for quality japanese food for a cheaper price, then Guu is the place for you! If you really can't head out to Vancouver, then choose Guu to eat at as well! It's not obvious upon first glance in Aberdeen Centre, so it takes a little searching to find out about this place. Guu is on the second floor above H-Mart and beside Dinesty Restaurant.

Overall, I was pleased with my experience here as I enjoyed the attention to plating, the quantity + taste of the food and the efficient service. Most if not all items were under $20, at around $10 to $14 dollars for a bento box. I took my friends with me this time, so we got a different item each. All food except the snacks come with miso soup.

Grilled Fish Box - $11.80

Grilled Mackerel, Grilled Salmon, Grilled Pike Mackerel, 2pcs Cali Roll, Sashimi (Salmon, Sweet Shrimp), Rice, A bowl of taro and pickles, Grated mountain potato, a pinch of stewed veggies, Miso Soup

**The meal was supposed to come with scallop sashimi, but they didn't have any and substituted it with shrimp sashimi. (I didn't even notice that on the menu, but it would've been amazing either way)

The only thing bad about this was that the Pike Mackerel's innards weren't cleaned out along with the bones, so I kind of surprised when I ate it. But overall the taste of the grilled fish was alright.

Kimchi Udon - $8.90

This serving of Udon is the soupless kind. It has been marinated previously to bring about a unique flavor and striking color to it. It's served with spicy cod roe, seaweed, butter and kimchi of course! This also comes with miso soup.

Sushi Box - $12.95

This bento box is a little on the pricey side, but it's very filling. It consists of three pieces of nigiri sushi (Surf Clam, Shrimp, Tuna), diced salmon, grilled mackerel, chicken karaage and 2 pcs of California roll. (Also supposed to include the sold out scallop sashimi)
