AND IT WOULD BE VERY SMART TO MAKE A RESERVATION! THEY ACCEPT LARGE PARTY GROUPS (I made a reservation for 10 and they were happy to accomodate us without a problem) Call them if you have to make a change to the number of people, they place is always full!
**There is a short wait for reservations and they'll call you to remind you on the day of**
A reservation allows you to eat for 2 hours
In addition to the previous post about Suika, this is what the dinner courses look like. I decided to bring my friends here for Boxing Day dinner at around 7pm, and we ate for about an hour and a half. It was not a problem making a reservation about a week in advance, and changing the time and # of people on the day of.
Plating design varies since the chefs have to keep up with the orders. The waitress was very polite and made an absolute effort to make sure everything was alright for our table of 8 people. She let us have the extra plate of duck and didn't charge us for it. FOR SOMETHING TO DRINK, ORDER THE HOUSE MADE GINGER ALE for $3.5! IT'S AN INSTANT FAVE! FOR SOMETHING FILLING AND GREAT TASTING, ORDER THE TOKYO OX TAIL RAMEN for $9.8!
December Special: Miso Seared Duck Breast w/ House Made Chili Oil - $10.8~
Flame Seared Miso Duck Breast w/ Scallions, Onions and Chili Oil The portion size scared me when I saw it since it was a little on the petit side. But when eaten slowly, you realize that the taste makes up for it and it's the perfect, filling size. It's not at all like regular western style duck breast, but instead like a cross between tender duck and Cha Shu pork. The chili oil isn't flaming hot and provides the right amount of saltiness to the dish. It left me scraping the plate for more!
We even got an extra plate to share since the kitchen made an extra. FREE FOOD!!

Grilled Miso Marinated Sable Fish - $9.8
Grilled Miso Marinated Sable Fish w/ Sesame Sauce, Grated Mountain Potato
This was the most perfect piece of fish I've ever had in my life. Every bite was like butter melting and the crispiness of the skin complimented the flesh. The miso wasn't overpowering at all, which was surprising in a good way! Sesame sauce literally goes with everything.

Frozen Matcha Brulee - $5.2
Frozen Matcha Creme Brulee w/ Whipped Cream and Red Bean Sauce
After so many dishes of salty miso, what better way to contrast than with dessert?
Two hefty sized pieces of perfectly torched matcha brulee are served with red bean sauce. There's enough to share and it's a matcha lover's dream. It's different than your traditional Creme Brulee, and it's well worth trying. The texture is like green tea ice cream and then the burnt sugar shows up afterwards on the palate.

Chinese Poutine - $6.8
French Fries w/ Chili Oil, Mozzarella, Minced Cilantro, Japanese Pepper, Spicy Pork Sauce
My friends ordered this for the fun of it and it exceeded all our expectations. It really did taste ASIAN because of the seasoning! Great job I must say. The cheese isn't stringy though, so you have to rip it with your fries if you want some. It also makes a great sharing dish.
Sashimi Salad - $9.8
Selection of fresh Sashimi (Salmon, Tuna), Organic Greens, Tobiko, Shrimp Oil and Sesame Soy Dressing
